Following my Style Workshop on Saturday at the Canberra Style Market, I feel inspired and ready to jump head first into the new season after a pretty insane few weeks. My workshop was lots of fun and it was amazing watching the market come together after months of hard work by the amazing Lynette, who I worked closely with on the initial stages of the event. It was great to see so many familiar faces there and I really hope the market grows into something huge for the local industry over the next few years.
After wrapping up my workshop I did a little stall to stall shopping myself - I love checking out and supporting local businesses and designers. I picked up some sale PE Nation shorts from Rebel Muse and some statement earrings from Statement by Janette. I usually wear more minimal jewellery these days but I do have loads of statement pieces from previous years and thought why not get back into it and have some fun. This might be the resurfacing of the maximalist within after years of steering towards simplisitic minimalism.
I love the play on proportion of this Bassike top and the crisp, dry fabric against the sheen of these leather shorts. The lace up flats tone down the big earrings and the reflective sunglasses pull it all together. This outfit is Spring to me - light, effortless, clean, bright and fun.
